"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I see that you just joined but you could try to put things in the appropriate categories instead of filing everything into traditional art> drawings> miscellaneous. Maybe have a look at FAQ #78:Where do I submit to if I'm not sure?
Ah, the gallery directors on this site would probably mind (they have the ^ by their names). They're responsible for keeping their galleries tidy which involves moving deviations around when people submit stuff to the wrong place and doing that takes up a lot of their time. I personally feel a little annoyed when I'm browsing through a gallery dedicated to one type of art in particular and then I keep seeing stuff that doesn't belong there. I also see that you submit different people's work; be careful about that and make sure you have everyone's permission before you post their stuff. There are copyright policies on this site like you wouldn't believe! But good luck with deviantArt, follow the guidelines, you'll be ok.
